My name is Amanda Wright, an aspiring Data Analyst living in Ulladulla, New South Wales, Australia.

Born in New Zealand, schooled in Hong Kong and Kobe, Japan, living in Australia since 1996, others find my perspective to be global and unique.

​

I enjoy listening and playing music, trying to play guitar, and walking my 3 dogs on Mollymook Beach with my 11-year-old daughter and my partner.

​

My childhood contains memories of being fascinated in tech from my first Tandy computer to my Game Boy and Mega Drive in the 90's, to the internet revolution in the early 2000's, to apps and smartphones since then.

 

My passion for IT, and the movie Hackers, resulted in changing from Economics to a Bachelor of Science at Macquarie University graduating in 2003.

Since then, a short diversion was on the cards, with a desire to learn how to lead teams to deliver business outcomes in big box retail chains in Australia.

 

After having a child and 25 years at Coles Supermarkets, and 4 years at Bunnings Warehouse, it's time to return to my roots, combined with my financial acumen, to pursue a goal of becoming a Data Analyst.

After returning to complete Graduate Diploma Data Analytics at University of New South Wales in 2023 and 2024, I am well on my way, determined and focused.
